a blistering topic

Can anyone give me information on how to deal with blisters? I have several that haven't popped yet and I'm not sure if I should poke a hole in them or just let them be. They are kind of grossing me out, actually, and I'd like to pop them but won't if that is the wrong way to go. Email me or comment if you know what I should do!

I think I might lose a toenail. But I won't be doing anything about that.

This brings back painful memories of a backpack trip I had, lost both big toe nails and had so many blisters I had to wear flip flops to work.
My advice: DO NOT poke them, let them follow natural course, they will heal faster that way.
Soak, soak and soak some more in Epsom salt and warm water. Use gauze and bandages to "protect" the wounds.
Aww...your poor feets!! As to the toenails, I say nothing. Mine still don't feel the same, sigh. I just kept them bandaged so I didn't have to look at them.

What an ADVENTURE though!! I hope you have some pics to post!

My opinion is to not pop. Your body will eventually absorb the fluid. I have many years of blisters from running and I never pop. My opinion, for what it is worth.

Don't pop them.

And I know its a bit late, however, I recommend taping and putting mole skin on your feet before hiking. Put this in places you are prone to getting blisters.

Pop the crap out of them - it's more fun that way, HOLLA!!

Yep...Pop them! Massage the ooze out of them. Then you won't have to look the blisters anymore. If your toe nail fails off you could use the nail on eariings or a necklace. That is always a GREAT look!
Thanks again for inviting me on the hike. I had a grat time!
