R.I.P. Gill

Gill went to that big fishbowl in the sky today. Ethan was upset for a few minutes but quickly forgot about Gill once Jay told him he needed help making waffles. Not sure what kind of questions tomorrow will bring. Hopefully we will be fish-free for a while!

When Avery's fish "went to live with Jesus" I was concerned at first about the emotional ramifications it would have on my tenderhearted little girl. These concerns were soon replaced with new ones when I realized that she was not mourning our loss in the least, but rather was excited by the fact that we got to flush him down the toilet. Thankfully, she seems to have developed a little more empathy as time has passed!
